Polar Plungers -- First Timer’s Tips
Congratulations! You have signed up
for an unforgettable experience!
Here is some advice from a veteran Plunger:
DO
·
Wear your
plunging suit under the clothes you wear to the event.
·
Choose your post
“Plunge” gear. You will be cold and possibly numb. Choose loose-fitting, easy on clothes and
shoes. Have easy on shoes (crocs) for after your plunge, there is a short walk
to the warming tent.
·
If you are a
veteran “plunger” offer help to the Plunge rookies.
DO NOT
·
Do
NOT dive in-this is a safety regulation and will be enforced by the safety
team!
·
Do
NOT run into the water.
·
Do
NOT Plunge more than once at this event.
WHAT TO BRING
·
A
Plastic bag for wet clothing
·
A
backpack or bag to hold your warm and dry post plunge clothing
·
A
towel
·
A
disposable, waterproof camera that you can carry into the plunge area with
you. If your friends and family can’t
get a close-up of you in the water, feel free to ask a fellow Plunger to snap a
shot of your big moment.
