
The following is a basic outline of the necessary steps needed to secure housing with the Tri-Cities Habitat for Humanity:
1. Attend an orientation meeting
2. Attend an initial budget meeting with Love, INC
3. Complete 8 hours of sweat equity
4. Return completed application by due date
5. Home interview is scheduled
6. Committee reviews applicants' paperwork
7. Applicant family meets with Family Selections Committee
8. Committee recommendations are presented to Board of Trustees
9. Applicants are notified of acceptance or denial
This is just a brief overview; there may be more or less steps in
the process depending on your specific situation. This process is not
meant to deter individuals from seeking a Habitat Home. It is more of a
screening process to ensure there is full understanding each step of
the way, as well as determine if you meet the criteria set forth in
Habitat for Humanities selection process.
